Building the robot was extremly hard and fun, we had defficult times when we put the wrong pieces of lego to a different place, but eventuley we got through it and we were very happy with the finished product. We named it Robort the Robot and we both chose that name together.
Session 1-The Pedestrian Challenge Today was the first day that we got to work with robort in the one and only Pedestrian Challange. We were able to expierence playing and working with our robot. We completed the challenge with a rusult of 9.5 out of 10 we would of got a 10 exept the laser was over but we managed to get a good enough result and we are very proud of robort and ourselfs. That week was a great expierence. Session 2-The 360 Challange Today was the the 360 challange and we were very excited. Today we started a bit later than most other groups because our computer wouldn't work but although that had happened we managed to get a 4.5 out of 5. We had a goal not to have more than four turns AND GUESS WHAT WE DID IT!!!
Session 3- The Snake This had to be the hardest challange of all, we had masive problems with getting the curves right and reversing the robot, but although this task was hard we still were able to make sure we tryed our hardest. We are still working on it and hope we get it right soon.
Session 4- The 2D shape Challenge At the start we thought yeh we will be fine all we have to do is make Robort go in a square but NO it was soooooo hard. We had the robot doing turns and going straight and then turning we could not get it to work!! We think that Robort was sick but after a while of hard work and listening to the teacher we finally managed to create a simple square. we hope robort is feeling better next time we use it and compleste a challenge. :)
Session 5- Fixing, picking ou song and starting programing for our dance We strated the session and were told to finish things that we hadn'd finished on our sheet. We had one thing left to finish and that was the snake. Every week we had been trying to finish and complete the snake! Today we had to get it done. Mrs Burns came over and helped us figure out what was going on. The problem was that we didn't have the same programing on every one, thankfully it worked and we got it done!! YES!!! :) Next was to pick out song the song we picked was Hey Ya, we both chose this song together. We are starting to take notes on what moves and counts we have to do. We also have to build a part that we didn't build at the start and that is the arm! we hope to get that done next week and also keep workng on the dance. :) :) Session 6- dance Today we worked on our dance, we got heaps done, we started it off with spining the hand, then we did foward back and shimmy :)
